The study of yield indices of two faba bean cultivars after inoculation with Rhizobium leguminosarum biovar Viciae

Rhizobium leguminosarum bv. Viciae isolates collected from Gorgan and Nyshaboor were evaluated for symbiotic efficiency and the ability of phosphate solubilization with two different cultivars of faba bean in greenhouse conditions. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with factorial arrangement (all combinations) in five replications. The results of variance analysis showed that isolates of R. leguminosarum bv. viciae had a significant effect on measured parameters (dry shoot, root and nodule weight, nodule number and total phosphorus in plant tissues) in both cultivars of faba bean. Bean cultivars and the interaction between cultivar and treatment had just a significant effect on the total phosphorus in plant tissue. In general, R. leguminosarum isolated from Gorgan showed a better symbiotic efficiency with Barkat compared to Dehnov cultivar. Isolates of R65G & R63G had a better symbiotic efficiency and more ability in phosphorus solubilization compared to other isolates. The result of phosphate solubilization also revealed that R. leguminosarum bv. Viciae isolated from Gorgan and Nyshaboor had the ability for phosphorus solubilization.
