Calibration Test of Aircraft Speed Using GPS - Barograph System

Aircraft speed calibration test is one of the most important and required aviation tests. Hence; introducing and using of appropriate and precis methods in this regard has always been the focus of designers and manufacturers of aircrafts. In this article, a method for conducting calibration test useing GPSB arograpl is presented. Thismethod has the possibility of verffing the accuracy of the arspeed indicator performance in all aviation test in general and in calibration speed test inparticular with high degree of precision. Also, simplicity and repeatability of the method will increase the precision of the results and will decrease the related costs. The operational behavior of GPSBarograph, the methods of calibration, the reduction of the collected data, and the results of a calibrated sample test performed on Saba motorized glider are the subjects that have been discussed in different sections of this article.
