گزارش گونه ي MICROCTONUS AETHIOPOIDESCHYM: BRACONIDAE از ايران

During the study of natural enemies associated with alfalfa weevil (Hypera postica Gyll.) in Ghazvin (Eghbalieh) and Hamadan (Famenin) areas, a parasitoid wasp that attacks adult alfalfa weevil was collected in 22 April 2001 & 27 May 2001. This insect was later identified as Microctonus aethiopoides. This is the first report of Microctonous genus from Iran. The wasp is polyvoltine in studied areas and reduce host population by sterilizing or killing infected weevils.
