The Function of Linguistics in Psychological Operations

The role of language as one of the basic elements of Psychological operations is very extensive. The application of language in different forms of psychological operations has special function. For the same reason, the use of language as an operational instrument with defensive as well as offensive capabilities is not far-fetched. Human language (whether written or verbal) contains the most specific or the most general traces of meaning which is the outcome of human mind and emotion whose goal is to establish communication among humankind and affects the psyche and the way of thinking of the audiances. The distance between human language and his psyche is the same area which paying attention to it provides the ground to optimize the use of this means in operational scene. In the present article the functions of language in Psychological operations have been discussed based on new linguistic findings.
