The Reflection of the Koran and Hadith in Molanaʹs Works

Molana Jalaladin Mohammad was born in 604 Hejri in a learned and virtuous family. From his childhood, under the supervision of his father Baha Valad, who was among the famous rhetoricians, learned the Koran. In his adolescence, despite his obligatory migration to Balkh with his family, he did not rest from learning and thus mastered all the theological issues. In his youth, he traveled to distant cities like Demascus to complete his studies; he became an expert especially in theology and Hadith and imbued the treasury of his bosom with the colorful gems and the sparkling pearls of the Koranic meanings and narrative themes and motifs. When in his middle age, under the influence of divine love, he started to compose poetry, he adorned many of those maidens of his wit with these gems. Thus Molana contributed greatly to the development of the Koran and Hadith and adorned those eye-caressing blossoms of meaning--Mathnavi and Ghazals--with the greenery and fragrant flowers of vision so that he would attract all the hearts toward his perceptive poetry forever. In this study, the different forms of the application of the verses and narrations in Jalaladinʹs works will be analyzed.
