Cultural studies are based upon mythical issues, for culture and myth are closely interrelated. Although the age of myth is over, the presence of its spirit is still felt in the social and cultural structure in modern world. The myth is best reflected in epic; in other words, mythical issues have been transformed into epic literature. Indeed, myth is a narrative dealing with gods while epic deals with heroic deeds. The heroes of epic are the mythical gods that were later transformed human beings.
