تعيين عوامل موثر بر مالكيت مسكن در مناطق شهري ايران

Housing is the largest investment and properties of many households and its ownership can increase quality of housing units, enhance economic growth, create security and identity for families, promote family welfare, provide a method for capital accumulation by households, improve socio-political participation and so on. Different factors contribute to households decision regarding home ownership. Identification of these factors can support better housing policies and planning. Limitation of conventional methods has increased the application of logic models in housing market analysis, especially in determining the factors influencing housing ownership decisions. This study applies logic model using a sample of 12300 urban households in Iran provided by the statistical center of Iran to determine factors contributing to home ownership. The results show that current income, permanent income, age, occupation, head of households, and family size are the main determinants of home ownership and factors such as temporary income, educational conditions of head of households and, single parent families increase the probability of households decision to rent.
