تحليل سينوپتيك و ترموديناميك و اقعه سيل اسفندماه 1371 در حوضه آبي كارون

Flood is one of the most destructive natural hazards produced by many different types of precipitating weather systems, especially low-pressure systems that pass through the same region. These conditions are often the cause of severe floods in the Karun basin. In some years, many active cyclonic storms attack in Karun basin during December to May and cause a huge and catastrophic flood with large damage to properties, industries, roads, animals and human beings located in these area. The maximum activity of floods occur normally in March. In this research, we attempt to investigate the behaviour of the flood through analysing synoptic situation in 850, 700, 500 and 300 hectopascal (hpa) levels. Thermodynamic indices have been used to determine atmospheric stability.
