A Study on the Impact of Oil Revenues and Population Changes on the Relation Between Government Expenditures and Economic Growth

The relation between economic growth and share of government activities in economy is an important debate. regardirg. this issue there are two hypothesis 1) this relation is negative and 2) this relation is postitive. Using the experience of Iran and economeitric estimations, this study tries to give some points on the debate. The results show that this relation can he differed based on the Periods of growth. In a period that there is low level of ecomic growth, the relation is negative, and it is positive when the economic growth is high. Results show oil revenues and population changes have Important role in forming of goverment expenditures and economic growth.
