Manifestation of the language, culture and environment of Mazandaran in the poetry of Nima

Sociolinguists believe that languages reflect, to varying degrees, the realities and features of the world around them. In other words, language is not used in vacuum; rather, it is influenced by the environment in whcih it is spoken. This can be true about literary works as well. In the poetry of Nima, a good case in point, the linguistic characteristics as well as the imagery reflect the influences of the environment of Mazandaran. In this article, the writer makes an attempt to show, from a sociolinguistic point of view, certain environmental influences in the poetry of Nima.
