چكيده لاتين :
The present article is a short survey of the historical roo ts and familial relationship
between Pashto and Urdu, which gencologieally are among the Eastern Iranian
and Indie branches respectively . The general descrip tion will be followed by an
account for the characteristic patterns of similarities and differences between the
ph onologi cal systems and orthograph ic 51ʹstems of the two languages.
