Iranʹs code of criminal procedure has considerably been affected by that of France. The general forms of the investigation rules in the two countries are still very similar to each other, but in recent decades French legislators have made great changes in the code of criminal procedure. Getting acquainted with these changes is definitely profitable for Iran, which is on the track of judicial development. The suitable structure for supervising the functions of the judicial police individuals of France is also good to be modeled on. The present paper has two sections: 1) the judicial police of France and 2) a comparision with Iranʹs.
