The use of Geomorphology in Law Enforcement Planning.

Every country enjoys a certain order and discipline in its general planning, and regarding the nature and aim of the planning obtains the necessary information to arrange it. In Iran, most plannings are performed by the government. Management and Planning Organization is responsible for the ratification of it to pay the expenses. Regarding Iran governmentʹs formal systems, geomorphologists can play a significant role in the governmental organizations. According to the Management and Planning Organization, geomorphology experpts can act in military and law enforcement organizations for equipping the war zones, locating, and stockpiling armaments and munitions of the bases, airports, and barracks. They can also act to encourage foot soldiers and armored as well as mechanized forces. To maintain public security, comfort and convenience, police comes into war, riot, earthquake and flood scenes on which lack of information about the natural evironment that can be obtained by gemorphology would make the operations difficult and unsafe. The present paper intends to clarify the relationship between geomorphology and police missions to pave the way for decision makers to act better.
