What are social behaviors? How do they occur? Are all of them against the governmentʹs interests ? Riots, social fear, etc. are those behaviors by some of the members of the society most of which lead to vandalism and violence. However, scholars believe that such behaviors although make temporary troubles for ecnomy, but are not considered to be much against political and government interests. In order to define social protests, psychologists have proposed several theories. The most significant are Gustav Levinʹs "Integrative Society theory", Freudʹs "Psycho-Analysis Theory", and Ted Robert Growsʹ" Relative Deprivation Theory" all of which have discussed and explained social behavior in turn.
This article will scrutinize those theories which view social reactions mainly emotional, violent, and subversive. While other scholars claim that some of these
social protests are consciously and wisely directed, and are used by some citizens in order to achieve their goals. Although these scholars do not neglect the subversive effects of such reactions.
