چكيده لاتين :
To study the relationships between high molecular weight glutenin subunits and SDS sedimentation test, 264 advanced wheat breeding lines were employed. SDS-PAGE procedure was employed for fragmenting the subunits of glutenin. SDS sedimentation test was carried out on all lines, every line in three replicates. The means were considered as SDS sedimentation criteria. Data analysis was performed based on one-way analysis of variance and regression analysis. A total of 19 subunits were found of which subunits 5+12 at Glu-Dl and 17+9 at Glu-B1 not having been reported before. Mean comparisons of SDS- sedimentation test indicated that 1 and 2 * subunits from Glu-Al loci bore a higher height of sediment than the null. Subunits 13+16 and 7 at Glu-Bl loci had the maximum and minimum sediment heights, respectively. Subunits 5+10 at Glu-Dl loci, were of a higher sediment height than the others, indicating that this subunit pair was of more value. This subunit had the highest regression coefficient for sediment height character and it was shown that it can be considered for line selection in an early wheat generation. Correlation analysis showed that 5+10 subunits had the maximum positive significant correlation (r=0.28**) with sediment height. The minimum negative significant correlation belonged to 2+12 (r=-0.23*) and null (r=-0.31*) subunits. The results of polynomial comparison test for sediment height showed that 1 and 2* subunits from Glu-Al loci, and 13+16, 7+8 and 17+18 from Glu-Bl, and 5+10 from Glu-Dl had significant differences in comparison with the other subunits.
