چكيده لاتين :
In recent years, especially the last year (1386), the index of marriage
indicates an increase in number of marriages trends in many provinces.
However, this is not the same with every provinces and in some provinces the
index indicate a decrease, especially lor those with the large cities e.g.
Tehran. The index for thc year 1386(2007) indicate increase in number of
divorce which is worrying, and on the basis of the present conditions, every
where in country.
This article attempts to elaborate on the concepts of marriage and divorce and
their related aspect, in addition, it has reviewed the indices of marriage and
divorce in a six year period (1381-86) and analyzed the information and
tables regarding these issues for different provinces. In the beginning of the
article the concepts of marriage and divorce are explained and the procedure
for calculating each index is mentioned. At the end, some recommendations
are made.
