Using taxonomy analysis for planning of sustainable agricultural development (A case study of Varamin Pishva Area)

In planning for sustainable agricultural development, it is imperative to rank and classify the status quo of rural areas in terms of agricultural development indicators. This, may well contribute to adopt adequate guidelines and policies for budgeting, as far as agricultural development is concerned. According, a taxonomy software, application all over the country, was designed to be used for a case study in Varamin - Pishva Area. Findings of the study well revealed that only three of the selected districts, namely Askariyeh, Behnam Sookteh Jonoubi, and Behnam Vasat e Jounobi, enjoy relatively favorable development conditions regarding the indicators of agricultural equipment, farm, lands and performance in development of agricultural produce. However, the results generally indicate that villages of the area suffer from deprivation and instable conditions. It is, thus, necessary to take into consideration the results of this study for forthcoming agricultural development planning in the area.
