Investigating the Long Term Relationship between Export, Foreign Direct Investment and Economic Growth in Iran

The global economy has been changed by increasing use of capital. Less developed countries can achieve higher economic growth through focusing on the competition. The advantage of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is that by exporting goods. the country will be able to specialize in production of some goods which have competitive advantage in producing them. This also leads to the exploitation of empty capacity of production process. This paper deals with the relation between export and FDI and economic growth in Iran over the period of 1362-82. The model used is Johansen model for long term relationship and Errorcorrection model for short term relationship. Cointegration Analysis shows that there is a long term relationship between export and economic growth and FDI and Economic growth.
