Introdnction and Objectives: Different Studies show that vitamin A has a large number of import effects on different parts of human body; the effect of vitamin A on memory has been investigated less frequently than its effect on other parts of the body. the present study aimed at investigating the effect of vitamin A on the memory during an acute period of time. Materials and Methods: The drugs used were vitamin A and Sesame oil which were adminstered to three trained, untrained and control groups during an acute period of time.The amounts of the drugs used were 10000,25000, and 50000 IU and these were given to the trained and antrained groups during 6,18 and 24 hours. The results were analyzed using a memory testing machine (Shattle Box). Then both groups were compared with the control group. Results: Results showed that in some cases there were significant differences between the trained group and the control group. The difference between the untrained and control groups was also significant. Based on the related experiments. we can assert that the prescribed amount of vitamin A causes an increase in memory. A comparison between trained and untrained groups revealed a statistically significant difference as well. Conclusion: According to the previous related studies, it can be asserted that training can increase the synthesis of protein and finally results In creating memory.Based on the experiments. prescription of vitamin A small amounts can Increase short term memory
