A survey of the effects of the implementation of science Research Center plan on self-confidence enhancement, team work and interest of first grade basic science secondary school students

The main Purpose of this research is to examine the effects of science research center Plan implementation on self-confidence enhancement, team work, and interest of basic science secondary school students. Statistical population is total secondary students of Tehran city in 1382­83 completed the first year. A sample of 364 students was randomly selected by using cluster sampling, of which 182 were girls, and 182 were boys. The samples were divided into two groups of equal size namely experimental and control groups. Tools of data collection are three questionnaires used in two phases of pre experiment and post experiment. These questionnaires were Izenk self-confidence questionnaire and two researcher made questionnaires for team work and interest to basic science measurement whoʹs Validity was determined by using Alpha Cronbach technique. Statistical techniques used are two independent group T-student test, dependent T-student test and pearson correlation coefficient test. The data is analyzed by SPSS software. Based on the results of the research there is a meaningful relationship between the implementation of science research center plan and students self-confidence enhancement, team work and interest to basic science.
