چكيده لاتين :
This paper explores the effects of three of the most important post-welding processes 011 the residual stresses of
large-diameter oil and gas pipes; Tile analysis is one of uncaapted thermo-mechanical applied for hot" 2D and 3D models of the
pipe. Tile pipe body is assumed to be prestressed due (a prior submerged aTC welding oj its seam. To analyze ʹIre processes,
parametric programming in the ANSYS commercial software is utilized. Tile processes are hydratest, quenching by Houcsh
met/rod, and quenching by tIre last puss heat sink welding, wllicll is the most cost-effective technique. TI,e processes are,
respectively. performed b)ʹ applying very "igll internal pressure to the pipe, induction "eating plus spray coating of tile pipe, and
cooling the weld zone simultaneously wit" tile last past weldinx_ The novel aspects of the study include investigation of tile above
processes for API 5L-X70 pipes and application of FE analysis to simulate tile quenching ofpipesfor both tire Houcsh method
and tlte last past heat sink method. Tireeffects of the processes Oil the residual stresses are compared. The simulations are verified
qualitatively using experimental results reported ill the literature.
