Benchmarking Development Model of Science and Technology Parks

Science and technology parks are organizations which rely on their knowledge capital. Their mission is to expedite commercial operations through sharing knowledge and resources. In this research, through the analysis of the strategic plans of some of the world science and technology parks, the most important characteristics of the parks which are emphasized in these documents are investigated. It is argued that when developing the strategic plans of science and technology parks, the structural patterns should be addressed through a future study approach. At the end, a set of appropriate statement for developing a benchmarked strategic plan of science and technology parks bas been proposed.
