Application of plasmid profile for Type characterizatiion of salmonela ovis Isolates.

In term of molecular typing, plasmid profiling have been experienced for different Salmonella serotypes. In this study we used this method for Salmonella enterica serovar Abortusovis. Isolates from Chahrmahal and Bakhtiari and Isfahan have revealed two plasmids of 147 and 63 Kb, while Tehran isolates carried only one in 147 Kb plasmid. The plasm ids digested with Hind III representing 4 profiles among all isolates. Restriction profiles by Hind III are success to discriminate Iranian isolates rrom other countries. Plasmid profiling for Iranian isolates revealed 2 distinct profiles. Discrimination power of this method in large distance area could be useful. The plasmid restriction profile and its polymorphism also are useful for understanding the molecular basis of S. abortusovts.
