Background & Aim: Midwives, as providers, have an important role in health counceling and education, not only for the women, hut for thefamily and the commuitv at large. A midwife S· roles includes education during pregnancy and preparing the parents lor assuming the motherhood am/fatherhood duties, which extends to some cases ofgynecology diseases, hirth control and child care. Midwives. because ofimportant duties. must be notice of professional lows and regulations and observe them. Also They should be able to solve professionat.Iegat and moral defjiculties that confront with them. Materials & Methods: In this study, the data on 157 midwives working at midwifery offices and those working at hospitals and clinics, concerning Islamic Punishment Laws relating to medical practitioners \vere collected by selfreporting questionairre and analyzed. Finding.",ʹ: The findings showed that the total mean 0./ midwives awareness of working at offices and working at midwifery offices and those working at hospitals and clinics concerning Islamic Punishment l.aws }Iʹas at a poor level. While the total mean ofawareness 0./ those working at midwifery offices was lower than thaI mean ofmidwives working at hospitals and clinics (P=OJJ04). Conclusion: Thus, to prevention [rom any violation of medical rules, we suggest holding ofrefreshment courses and seminars on introduction to the contents professional taws and vutesfor midwives working at private and public health centers and midwifery offices so then. in addition 10 review the current governing laws, update their information on professionat Iaws.
