Todayʹs environmental challenges for example air pollution and etc the world organization attend to the peoples power and participatory for environmental protects. In this situation, fundamental problem is an environmental aware and knowledge of public. Therefore to solution this problem International organizations including UNESCI are to make these finding operational, from 2005 to 20740The period has been called UN decade of education for sustainable development (DESD) whose main aim is integrating durable values and sustainable development in all learning aspects. According to what mentioned above, the key question is that what aims, policies and executive measures have been followed by IR. Iran as a member of united nations and UNESCO for the purpose of ESD in decade 2005-2014to Answer this question we have to consider thought base of ESD based on documental method. This article is part of project "A brief final report of analysis project of I.R. Iranʹs socio-cultural and environmental policies and programs in the fourth development plan, with regard to the aims of the executive program of UN decade of education for sustainable development (2005-2014)". Conclusion show that Iran has lunched politically and constitutionally a slow movement from classic development transition to sustainable development.
