Landslide Hazard and Analysis of Risks in Rural Areas (Case study: The North Slope of Sahand Mountain)

Landslides are natural phenomena. They contribute to transformation and erosion of landforms. When landslides effect human socials, they become change to dangerous events. In the landslides studies, donot notice to human socials risk. Therfor this study try with the mapping of landslide hazards, introduce the rurales which exposed hazard in North Sahand Mountain. For this purpose, it used of GIS tecniqes and ArcfView software, bivariate statistical analysis and evidenc weight model.The zonation of Landslid hazard map mapping in five class of very low - lowmedium- high and very high. Then the zonation results were combined human environment data. This study concluded that, about 41-68 persent of region is located on the zone of medium very high landslide hazards. About 60 persent of rurales is located on the medium landslide hazard. This rurales have 17531l" pupulation,
