A reflection on the Descartesʹ methodology

It was with Descartes that the issue of ʹmethodologyʹ was seriously introduced into philosophy. Descartes believes that his predecessors did not succeed in any way for they did not follow a correct methodology in their philosophical inquiries. Being incorrect, their methodologies did not produce any fruitful results bringing about no significant change in the world. He also believed that his methodology was able to unify all sciences under a single method paving the ground for bringing about certainty in all SCIences. Having an analytic approach, this article seeks to study ʹmethodologyʹ in Descartesʹ works touching the implications of certain conceptions from his methodology.
