Investigating psychometric properties of "Young Diagnostic Questionnaire"(YDQ)

Following considering the psychometric characteristic of Young Diagnostic Questionnaire (YDQ) and after performing the initial stages and introductory execution of it to overcome possible difficulties, this research examined the validity and reliability of this instrument. 446 students (233 female and 213 male) of Tehran schools with age average 16/23(sd =0/98) were selected by cluster method to test reliability by use of internal consistency. split half and concurrent validity. Among the considered sample, 77 participants took part voluntarily in this research (with a 15 days internal) to test reliability by use of retest method. Results showed that YDQ is of a suitable internal consistency and a significant retest coefficient (P<0/05). Meanwhile in studying concurrent validity of YDQ, Pearsonian product-moment correlation was considered among the said questionnaire, "NEG-Five Factor Inventory" and 25-question form of "Symptom Checklist-90- Revised". The results of these analyses showed a suitable concurrent validity for YDQ. The results of research, in general, present appropriate validity and reliability for YDQ.
