چكيده لاتين
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of social
skill training (through direct training and parental training) on improving
peer relations in primary school children with attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder. To achieve this, 45 boys with attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder were selected from among those who were referred
to psychological clinics (Isfahan University of Medical Sciences Special
Clinic for Children and Adolescents as well as the Psychology and
Counseling Clinic of Isfahan Ministry of Education). The subjects were
randomly assigned to three groups (two experimental and one control
group). The first experimental group received direct training whereas the
second experimental group received a combination of direct and parental
training (ten weeks). The controlled group received no instruction. To
compare the three groups, a pre-test, post test, as well as a follow up using
the Pupil Evaluation Inventory were used. The data were analyzed by
using multi-variant co-variance and U-Man-Vitny test. The results show
significant differences among the three groups in the post-test and the
follow-up.
