Loanwords in the Qur ʹ an

Loanwords in the Our ian are words of a non Arabic origin that were taken into Arabic and naturalized. The special significance of this research arises from the fact that some claim that the existence of loanwords in an Arabic Book like the Our ʹ an is a moot point, an assumption which some orientalists may exploit for their purposes. This article elaborates on the different views put forward in this regard, criticizes them, and concludes that using words which are not of an Arabic origin hy the Our an is not a problem, because these words, though originally not Arabic, had been taken into Arabic and naturalized before the revelation of the Ouran. Accordingly, there is no contradication in this regard. As for the question that the Ouran includes words which are similar to those in other heavenly Books, it should be noted that all heavenly Books come from one revelatory origin, i.e.revelation. Thcrlore, the claim of some orientalists that the Quean has borrowed words and expressions from other beavely Books is groundless.
