چكيده لاتين :
Sweetening is one of the most important parts of natural gas processing steps. During this process,
acid gases are removed from natural gas. In spite ofwide-spread application and all advantages of amine
units as the most common sweetening method, minimizing the hydrogen sulfide concentration needs
a large extent of energy for solvent recovery. In the meanwhile, other disadvantages of this method
are corrosion, reduction of solution efficiency and foaming which reveal the necessity of considering
other methods of gas sweetening. Therefore, this article presents a comprehensive study of non-amine
methods for natural gas sweetening as well as advantages and disadvantages of each method, so that it
would be possible to investigate the conditions for selecting the optimum alternative for gas sweetening
method in each refinery regarding the specific operational circumstances
