After reviewing the allegiance people make to their Imam and leader according to holy Koran in the previous volume, the author here examines this subject due to tradition. In the first part, he states some traditions and sayings, mostly from Nahj A1 Balaghah, and concludes that the reason for the guardianship of Imam or the obligation of obeying him is not due to the peopleʹs oath of allegiance. However, all those who had sworn allegiance to Imam should remain loyal to him and all Muslims should obey Imam, even if they had not sworn allegiance to him. At the end, he suggests that there is neither obvious tradition nor narration that obliges all people to swear allegiance to Imam.
