Thidiazuron is a synthetic herbicide, which plays similar roles with cytokinin on ceil
division. gnw,..th and shape in some oltempcrate fruit cultivars. In order to invcsugatc the
effect of 0,,5 and Hl mIg 1)1ʹ TDZ on apple cultivars. \Hlmely Akanc, Star crimson and
Spartan in 15 days after the period or full hkWJ11. a factorial experiment based on
randomized complete block design with three replications was carried out in Agricultural
Research Stnnon of Mcsbkin Shahr. Results indicated thal (he effect of various levels of
T07 on yield or apple cultivars were nor stgniticant. 111C amount or fruit abscission was
a function of cultivars and the applied concentrations of this substance and the fruit
abscission was significant only in Star crimson 1.ʹlIlti\ur i:H 5 mIg concentration. The shape
of [he fruit did not -how any significant difference within cultivars and various
concentration of Thidia/uro».
