Trigonella caeru lea (L.) Scr is an annual plant growing as a wild spec ies of Fabaceae fami ly in Iran. This wild
fenug reek is described and illustrated for the first time from Ardabil province. In add ition, the chromoso me numbers
of Trigonella caerulea was cou nted for the first time in Iran. The result showed that the plant is a diploid with 2n =
16.
