The Effect of Traditional Games on Locomotor Skill Development in 7-9 Year Old Boys

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of traditional games on locomotor skills in 7-9 year-old boys. 40 subjects were selected randomly by a personal information questionnaire. After locomotor skills were pretested by TGMD-2, subjects were divided by random matching into two groups. The first group performed traditional games and the second performed current activities. Traditional game group played for 24 sessions. After 12 and 24 sessions, traditional game and current activity groups participated in the mid test and post test.
