Khajeh-Ali and Amir-Teymour Gourkan

The article analyzes several sources from the Safavid era on the meeting between Khajeh-Ali, the son of Sheikh Sadr AI-Din and the grandson of Sheikh Safi AI-Din, and Amir-Tcyrnour Gourkan. It will begin by examining the brief narratives on the threefold meeting between Khajeh-Ali and Amir-Teymour Gourkan found in the summary of Jahan Gosha of Khazhan considering its differences with similar documents of the same period. Finally, the article continues by probing a writ found in Andkhood during the expedition of Shah Abbas in which Arnir-Teyrnour Gourkan orders to endow properties to the Mausoleum of Sheikh Safi AI-Din or, otherwise, to the ascendants of Khajeh-Ali. Although the document has yet to be found within the sources from the Safavid era, many historians believe that it does indeed exist.
