Davani, one of the greatest thinkers of 9 Hijra century, paid a particular attention to the Divine issues. He believed that manʹs knowledge of God takes root from his intuitive and innate ability, and that Godʹs existence differs from other beingsʹ. To prove the Divine existence, he presents some anterior and posterior demonstrations, since the Divine existence needs no cause, the former, which looks for the cause of existence, does not work. Besides, he adheres to Avicennaʹs theory of "Sedighin" and some theories with regard to cause and effect demonstration. According to Davani, Self-existence i.e., Vajib ul-Vujud is one. With regard to the oneness of Self- existence, he presents a theory, so- called Zugh-e-Taalloh, in which he attributes the essence of entities to the existence and not against it.
