The role of parentʹs education in girlsʹ and boysʹ self-efficacy

The present study examines the role of parentsʹ education in their children social, academic, emotional, and physical self-efficacy. The selected sample was 946 high school students (471 girls) from north, south, west, east and centre of Tehran. The schools were selected randomly. Participants completed Childrenʹs Self-Efficacy Qustionnaire (SEQ-C) and Physical Self-Efficacy Questionnaire. Analysis of variance followed by Post Hoc was carried out. Results showed that parentsʹ education have significant role in girlsʹ social, academic, emotional and physical self-efficacy but no significant role in boysʹ self-efficacy.
