Comparison ofQuality of Work Life Among Faculty Members in Physical Education Faculties and Departments

The aim of this study was to compare the quality of work life (OWL) among faculty members in physical education faculties and departments. Subjects were 286 physical education faculty members of physical education faculties and departments. OWL Ouestionnaire was used for gathering data. OWL score was moderate in both groups. The mean of OWL percent for physical education faculties was 51/78 and for physical education departments was 49146. There was not significant difference in quality of work life among Faculties and Departments except in the developing human and personal skills and abilities aspect of OWL. There was significant relation between OWL and some of itʹs aspects with age and the number of teaching years of faculty members. There was significant difference in the social relevance of work life aspect of OWL among male and female faculty members. The marriage state of faculty members did not cause any difference in the OWL and its aspects. As faculty members are very important to the universities, so it has high value to pay more attention to their OWL and their work conditions. Also it is recommended to use OWL improving programs in order to get its benefits.
