Migration and Iranʹs Foreign Policy

This article will aim to elaborate the question of connection between Iranʹs foreign policy and migration. Three hypotheses will be given based on inputs and study of historical and international trends: 1. Migration has been a prominent factor in Iranʹs bilateral relations and development of executive mashineries of foreign policy during last two decades. 2. The phenomenon of migration has been widend to the extent that has affected Iran through several ways. Iran is simultaneously a destination for immigration, the crossroad for migration and immigrant exporter. Each of these dimensions are in a direct relation with Iranʹs foreign policy. 3. The extension of migration and its increasing implications requires to compile theoretical and operational frameworks for migration management and enhancing opportunities and reducing threats.
