A correlational study on couplesʹ forgiveness and marital conflicts in Yazd province

The Purpose of the study was to investigate the correlation between couples forgiveness and their marital conflicts in Yazd province. Sample included 30 couples in Yazd who were selected randomly and were living together at least for 6 months. Family Forgiveness Scale (FFS), and Marital Conflicts Questionnaire were used to collcct the data. Findings showed that there is a relationship between forgiveness and marital conflicts in 3 subscales: real understanding, error recognition and confirming, compensation and orginal family. There was also a significant relationship between forgiveness and marital conflicts in 2 subscales of personal relationship with the relatives, and family relationship with the partnerʹs relatives and friends.
