A Theoretical Framework for Website Accessibility Assessment Improving Websites for the Realization of Electronic Government

This article aims to point out the significance of accessibility and usability of organization websites as important factors in e-government services. J % It also provides a conceptual framework for the assessment of such ^ factors. The paper firstly introduces a number of studies which deal with 3 IX the accessibility and usability of websites. It then briefly discusses the ^ benefits of e-governments and the significant role of websites in achieving J an electronic government. It finally provides a conceptual framework for evaluating the accessibility of organization websites. This paper is ~ important in two respects: First, it opens a new research field for experts and enthusiasts in assessing the accessibility of websites; second, it offers a practical basis for research in this field.
