Reciprocity of Sociology and Islamic Inspirational Teachings and Paradigm of Allegorical Interpretation

Although the mutual reciprocity of social science with the pure literature of Islam is a worthy attempt in making sociology go native, this attempt may easily incite interpretation and metamorphism in religious thoughts. With no doubt tendency toward the study of sociological thoughts of Islam with regard to behaviors, phenomena, and cultural and social affairs of Muslims can bring about a significant scientific stand in re-creating concepts, theories, and paradigms; however this tendency should not be affected with allegorical interpretation of inspirational teachings of Islam. Apropos of the holy Quran and historical approaches, allegorical interpretation is accounted as a hazardous phenomenon which can alter the scientific essence as well as the pure thoughts of religion. This article tends to survey the ways through which the notions and criteria of allegorical interpretation can be deeply recognized and how it can penetrate in the sociological and religious thoughts and alter their scientific truth.
