The Methods of Self-purification in Mulla Sadraʹs View

Self-purification enjoys a high status in epistemological geometry of transcendental theosophy, without which we cannot reach the deep content of its numerous issues. Accessing an appropriate method for this purpose is however somehow difficult. The present paper is trying to explain the Mulla Sadraʹs methods for self-purification which puts man in right path of knowledge and understanding. To do this, Mulla Sadra has put forward two groups of recommendations in his works: a) general recommendations with an exhortation or encouragement flavor; and b) practical recommendations with its applied and corrective aspect. The present writing reviews and criticizes some of Mulla Sadraʹs methods of self-purification for achieving a high level of understanding realities by investigating some of the philosophical-mystical bases and principles of this issue.
