The Presence ofthe First European Imperialists in the Persian Gulf

Upon the Confrontaion of the eastern traditional economy against the western bourgeoisie, with the water ways explorations, and specifically with the arrival of Portugal to the Persian Gulf, the turning point of forming new political and economic ties between Iran and the West began during the Safavids. This period should be considered as the beginning of Bourgeoisie in Europe. From that time, the Western European states gradually changed the economic and commercial structures of Eastern countries via imposing their new economic and political structures. The first imperialists endeavored to gain utmost benefits while destroying native trading of the region. With such a trend, the developing western bourgeoisie confronted with the eastern traditional economy while paving the way for inereasing process of western capitalism. Over such a long - lasting deprivation policy, the West succeeded to dilute the capacity of the eastern traditional economies turning them to an appendix to the capitalist system.
