The record of German shipping In the Persian Gulf could be stretched back to Qajari period. With the emergence of Constitutional revolution in 1906, the German shipping entered into a new stage in the Persian Gulf and this country set up its first line of shipping. Between 1923-1940 two other lines of shipping were added with the aim of exchanging between Homburg and the Persian Gulf. Along these lines, attentions were paid to other ports and diverse centers for exchanging commodities. In these commercial centers, many German and Iranian goods were exchanged. Above this, Germans concluded a naval - commercial treaty with Iran aiming to expand shipping in the Persian Gulf. In this paper, the history of Irano - German shipping in the Persian Gulf would be discussed allover the Constitutional Revolution up to the end of Reza Shah Pahlavi era.
