Being Globalized; Cultural Unification or Diversity and National Politics

"Being globalized", as a relatively deep and wide-ranging process and alteration, has exposed to change all fields of human life. Among these fields, culture which is the most substantial, comprehensive and extensive social wealth along with its mass of various and diverse components is probably the most important field that has demonstrated these changes. The type of cooperation of this process with the present human cultures and subcultures and its future results has raised various views among scholars of social sciences. Some aspects of this field that is worth thinking are cultural unification, cultural diversity and plurality, formation of a well-balanced combination of present elements and elements resulted from being globalized or emergence of cultural disturbance and mixture. The present writing first investigates the views of different scholars and then treats of the positions adopted, in the recent decades, by universal declarations of UNESCO as the most outstanding international constitution responsible for cultural matters. Also at the end a collection of politics and actions taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran in the national broad is mentioned, in which a definite support of the idea of "cultural tendency to diversityʹ1 is treated.
