Chesluneh Gerow (The spring ofGerow), a hydro-Dlorphotectonic phenoDlenon with exceptional geornocphic productions

Cheshmeh Gerow (The spring of Gerow) is one of the exceptional and interesting hydro-morphotectonic and hydro-geomorphic phenomenon, which is located 33 Km. south of Mashhad. Because of its activity during the Quaternary, large piles of travertine have deposited which morphologically; have formed very beautiful and interesting land forms. Some of these forms are the cones that are very similar to volcanic cones, miniature forms and others. There are different suggestions about the origin of this spring; and the present article has found a reasonable answer for the creation of the spring and the different landforms resulted from it.
