STRUCTURAL ORIENTATION IN THE PRODUCTION OF ARCHITECTURE THEORY IN CONTEMPORARY PERIOD OF IRAN

It seems that the production of theorized type or types from Iranian architecture in current Iran, is a difficulty that has alternatively been dealt with, and most of the explanations and comments indicate that todayʹs Iranian architecture has problems in the production of theories in architecture which can express Islamic Revolutionʹs goals. On the one side, the general process of the expansion of architecture in Iran after the Revolution and the practical and theoretical tendencies resulting from that process, despite the ideological desire of the political system, still follows the path and tendencies of the early 1970s before the Revolution. This article, in addition to examining the quantity and statistical and topical classification of theoretical resources in the contemporary Iranian architecture in Persian, also tries to show the general tendencies in tastes of architects and critics in the field of architecture and civil construction. According to this study, it can be seen that architectural tendencies and western styles have had a dramatic theoretical increase in the last 15 years and this can well justify as to why in the last years the architectural works created in Iran , have not moved in the direction of finding a domestic architecture.
