AN ANALYSIS ON THE FIELD OF CHANGING URBAN CONCEPTS (FROM MODERN THOUGHT TOWARD CRISIS THOUGHT)

This is a glance to the contemporary urbanism after modernism. Actually, city and urban design has experienced many progresses and metamorphoses in the middle of twentieth century and architects and urban designers have been tried to use metaphor and metaphysics to change a mental idea to physical spaces which is tried to briefly describe and explore in this article. Firstly, the crisis of modern urban design is investigated and subsequently the changes in the urban concepts and meaning are illustrated through a dialectic framework between city and philosophy.
